A simple and deliciously warming drink made with four easy ingredients. The AIP hot chocolate is sweet, creamy and chocolatey, even with carob (not chocolate), and only takes a few minutes to make.
Is chocolate allowed on AIP?
Chocolate is not allowed on AIP as it's a seed, and seeds are not AIP friendly until the elimination stage. Carob is used as a chocolate substitute, as it is legume with an edible pod (not seed).
Is honey or maple syrup allowed on AIP?
Both of these natural sweeteners are allowed on AIP (some people think otherwise) but along with molasses and coconut sugar should be used in very small quantities.
